With its ultra-slick topcoat, Propspeed is engineered to prevent marine growth from adhering to metal surfaces below the waterline. Its innovative design creates a strong chemical and mechanical bond between the metal surface, the Etching Primer, and the Clear Coat, ensuring long-lasting protection and consistent performance season after season.
Propspeed also offers superior corrosion protection by electrically isolating the metal, minimizing ionic and gas exchanges between the water and the metal surface. This isolation prevents chemical reactions, effectively eliminating the risk of corrosion.
The Propspeed system is ideal for use on a variety of underwater metal components, including propellers, shafts, struts, rudders, trim tabs, keel coolers, bow and stern thrusters, pod drives, and sail drives.
What’s in the Kit:
- PROPCLEAN: Pre-packaged with two wipes, Propclean uses denatured alcohol to remove all contaminants from the metal surface, ensuring it’s perfectly clean and ready for Propprep application.
- PROPPREP: Comes with a pre-packaged wipe, Propprep is essential for the chemical preparation of the metal surface, promoting optimal adhesion of the coating.
- ETCHING PRIMER (BASE & HARDENER): The kit includes 240ml of Etching Primer Base and 60ml of Hardener. This primer creates the signature Propspeed Gold finish and is known for its excellent adhesion and corrosion resistance.
- CLEAR COAT: Contains 200ml of non-toxic Clear Coat, forming a slick outer layer that prevents marine growth from bonding to the surface, improving speed and reducing fuel costs.
